We acknowledge we are on the ancestral homelands of the Coast Salish Peoples, who have lived in the Salish Sea basin since time immemorial. We respect this place and honor their sacred spiritual connection to the land, water, and its people, past, present, and future.
We express our deepest respect and gratitude to the traditional people of this territory, the Snohomish and Tulalip Tribes, for their enduring care and protection of the land which we currently share. As a Cooperative, we are owned by all communities, and we exist to ensure their goals are achieved through service. We recognize that we have a responsibility to uphold the values and principles of cooperation, democracy, equity, and solidarity. We also acknowledge that we have a duty to learn from and collaborate with the Indigenous peoples of this land, and to support their sovereignty.
We commit ourselves to honor this land and its people in our work and actions, and to strive for justice and reconciliation in our relationships. We hope that by doing so, we can contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable future for all.
